Raging Bull

How does 1950s aesthetic capture the color of violence?
A Knockout Design: The Raging Bull DVD Experience
If you’re looking for a peaceful movie night, you’ve come to the wrong box set. Inspired by Martin Scorsese’s 1980 masterpiece, I’ve created a DVD package that hits as hard as a heavyweight champion.
I drenched the entire design in a visceral red, because when it comes to Raging Bull, "subtle" isn't in the vocabulary—this color is pure anger and adrenaline. For the typography, I went back to the ring’s golden age, reviving the 1940s–50s boxing aesthetic to give the package an authentic, old-school punch. It’s vintage, it’s violent, and it’s beautiful.
